EDUCATIONAL FARM “LE LUNE DEL VESUVIO” is the ideal environment to allow school groups to have a real connection with the nature and the farming community.

The owners, winegrowers for generations, in love with their land and their work, have joined the “Educational Farms of Campania” approved by Campania Region to set a combination between the farming community and the school. The target is to reconnect teenagers with the experiences of the past.

Every course suggested by our Estate, include the involvement of a qualified staff to respond to the needs of the kids and the teachers. Family Forno, winegrowers for generations, with its staff team, will walk with you discovering the vineyards and all the activities, from the grape harvest to the winemaking.

In the wine cellar, it will be taught how to “work” and “age” the wine. The kids will live with the cellarman a journey in the world of the most important Vesuvius’ wine .“Lacryma Cristi” learning all the steps of the practice of making wine, from the vineyard to the bottle’s labelling.

A very important figure in this journey is “Granpa Ciccio” who, with his experience and his stories, will catapult you into the exciting rural life transmitting you his love for this practice and his deep connection with his own land. He will tell you some stories about Vesuvius, the Black Land and all of the products that our beautiful land gives to us: tomatoes, figs, oranges etc etc…

Another important figure is our Chef Pasquale Napolitano that will teach a kitchen’s class. He will show how a simple fruit can be transformed into a delicacy. Cooking is not to put together some ingredients but is a meeting place, a party, an achievement. Someone who cooks is a person that makes a gift, because even the simplest dish is a present made by the nature.

Inside the Estate you will find the stables with horses, donkeys, pony and many other animals which live in our farm. In this area an expert will guide you, he will teach to the kids how to saddle their horses, how to feed it and all the activities about hygiene and cleanliness. He will reveal some funny secrets and tricks to be able to have an empathetic connection with the animal.

All the activities will be coordinated by Sig.ra Grazia, the owner, with her qualified staff.
